baby in the morning (crawling)
grown-up in the afternoon (walking normal)
old person in the evening (walking with a cane)
Morning, Afternoon, and Evening is a person’s “life”….

a person. the “day” is talking about the lifespan of a person. the “morning” is when the person is a baby, who crawls on all fours. The “noon” is halfway through the person’s life, when they can walk on two legs. The “evening” is when the person is really old and needs a cane (which acts as a “third leg”) to walk.
